Month: March 2012

Brian Fay has News of the Day:

March 25, 2012admin

Next week we are having a Christmas party. We hope everyone will have a nice Christmas. We are having a Christmas play on 20th of December. We hope everyone can make it!

All the children in school will be wearing costumes, and we sing loads of songs.

Starry night (song)

Rocking around the Christmas tree (song)

Jabez  Dawes (poem)

Nativity play (Christmas play)

Melody (Christmas songs including: Let it snow;

Frosty the snowman; Santa Claus is coming to town, We wish you a merry Christmas).

Because it’s Christmas (song).

That is what we’re doing for our Christmas play.

The roads are slippy in the morning time. Be careful driving to our Christmas play.

December Arts and Crafts

March 25, 2012admin

The children are busy counting the days until Christmas, and have been preparing for the annual Nativity plays in Dunderry Hall. There are plenty of colourful clay creations and pretty pictures to see inside the school. Have a look at the Art page, and see if you can spot the next great artist in our midst…

Halloween in Kilbride

March 25, 2012admin

By Skye Ronayne, Kilbride N.S.

On Halloween we had a treasure hunt with all of the school. There were boxes with horrible stuff in them. There were prizes in the boxes. We had to get them out of the boxes. Then we had to put them in our collderaen to make a spell.  It was not a real one it was just fake. We were put into groups. We were put with junior senior 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th. The older person got a magic sheet. They had to decide who was going to each of the boxes but we were allowed to help. If you would like to go to one of the boxes you could say. When that was done we got in lines. One person would go and you would go and so on. Whichever team got the spell done first was the winner and they got a prize. The parent’s association made up the treasure hunt for use and some of the teachers did some as well. They all wells have something for use.  We had this hunt in 2011 October. We might be having it this year.
