School Tours

The school tours recently took place. The Junior Classes visited the Causey Farm and had a wonderful time. The children met the ponies, rabbits, sheep dogs, lambs, donkeys and piglets. They also blew giant bubbles, tossed wellingtons, made clay ornaments, played in the giant hay-maze, climbed across the tyre-obstacles and even rode the tractor!

The Senior Classes visited the Natural History Museum and the National Museum of Archaeology. They saw Egyptian Mummies and Viking artefacts. They even saw some Bronze Age jewellery. It was a beautiful day so the children enjoyed a picnic in Merrion Square. They had fantastic fun in the playground!

Write a poem competition

There were a lot of entries in this year’s competition. It would be very hard to win in this competition but we had four winners in our school. We had a winner from each class. Lucy Gorey in senior infants wrote a poem about spring. Erica Malone in 2nd class wrote a poem about her spy cat. Aoife o’ Brien in 3rd class wrote a poem about friendship. And Maire Ní Churraoin in 6th class wrote a poem about the lonely only child.

We are so proud of them!!!

Artist Achievement!

We had a Texaco art competition winner in the school. 26,000 people entered this competition but there could only be one winner. A boy in senior infants named Rian Fay drew a picture of the town. The results that Rian got were fantastic. He got a certificate to commend his artwork.

We were so proud of him!!!
