5th and 6th class will attend the BT Young Scientist competition on Friday 10th January 2014.
32 children from Kilbride National School took part in the recent cross country races in Bellewstown County Meath on Wednesday 27th November 2013. All 32 children completed their respective races.
Kilbride National School is a small country school on the outskirts of Trim in County Meath and for the 32 children to compete in such a sporting event is a major achievement in our school.
The teachers and pupils in Kilbride N.S were extremely proud of the team’s success especially when Olivia Gonsalves and Joshua Gavin finished first place in their races.
The children in Kilbride N.S enjoy athletics and are at present training to complete a marathon on the school grounds.

The Great Kilbride Bake Off took place on Friday the 29th of November 2013. We made turnip soup with the turnip from our school garden. Each child in the school were put in to groups and together we all made a rhubarb crumble with Miriam McHale. It was great fun. Afterwards we tasted the two of them and they were yummy!!
We are continuing with the practice for our Christmas concert which takes place in the church on Tuesday 17th December at 7.30pm. All children are to be in the church and in their places by 7:10pm.

Here in Kilbride we will be running or walking a mile every week for 26 weeks. All teachers and students will be participating. We hope that as a result everyone will be fitter. Good luck to every one in the weeks ahead.
