The school will be closing at 12 noon on Friday the 27th June and will re - open on Wednesday the 27th of August.
The Sixth Class Graduation will take place tomorrow, Tuesday the 24th June 2014, at 6pm. We would like to wish Ian, Ciarán, Brian, James, Aimee, Olivia, Katie, Rebecca, Skye, Leah, Shania, Cloie, Katie and Kaylinn every success and happiness in secondary school. They are ready to move on and embark on a new adventure. They have been well prepared and will be missed in Kilbride National School.
Our soccer league this year was a great success. Last Friday, the 20th June 2014, the final of the soccer league took place between Portugal and Brazil. Both teams played wonderfully in a very dramatic final. At the end of the game it was a draw. The game went into extra time and after the extra time it was still a draw between the two teams. Finally, it went to penalties!! A special congratulations to Portugal who were victorious in the end.
Today was our final swimming lesson. The children really enjoyed the swimming lessons this year. They were all presented with their swimming certificates today after their final lesson.
This week is our final week of having our athletic coaches from Navan Athletic Club visiting our school. Ken and Wayne, the coaches, will be working with all classes over the following week;

Athletics this year has been a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all!
Kilbride National School are in the Meath Chronicle this week as we were awarded our second Green Flag. We worked really hard this year to earn this flag. Again, congratulations to everyone involved!!
Congratulations to all the children who took part in the Braveheart 1km Children's Race in Trim last Friday the 13th June 2014. Congratulations to Finn who came 2nd in the race, Ross who came 3rd and Ross who came 4th. Well done boys! Also, congratulations to Skye who came 7th in her race. Well Done Skye!
Just a reminder that this week is the final week of homework club for the academic year. There will be no homework club next week.
This is our national annual Bike Week. Meath Local Sports Partnership is organising a family cycle and activities as part of Bike Week 2014. This is a free event. Bike Week family cycle spin and activities will take place on Thursday the 19th of June 2014 at 7pm in Bohermeen Community Centre. All participants must wear a helmet and children must be accompanied by an adult.
