Kilbride 5km Fun Run!

Hello everyone!

A very special event is just around the corner in Kilbride - The Kilbride 5km Fun Run!

The run will take place on 5th March 2017. Everyone is welcome - men, women, children, buggies...!

Each Friday in Kilbride NS, the children (and teachers!)  will be training for the run. Please send in shoes suitable for running, spare socks and an extra drink of water with your children each Friday over the coming weeks.

We look forward to seeing you all there!

Dance Classes - Thursday, 5th May 2016

Dance Classes will commence with our dance teacher Kevin for all children from Junior Infants to Sixth Class on Thursday, 5th May 2016 for six weeks. If you wish your child to participate in the dance classes the cost is ten euro per child. The children always enjoy these dance lessons with Kevin and they cannot wait to get started on this years dances for the whole school dance performance which will be sometime in June.

Cross Country Championships - Tuesday, 12th April 2016

Congratulations to all the children who represented Kilbride National School so well on the day and we are all very proud of them. They did very well. Many thanks to Mrs. Mallee for organising the children for the championships and to all of the parents who supported the children on the day. Well done again to all the children who participated from First Class right up to Sixth Class.

Dance Classes

It is that time of the year again that we all love. Kevin will be coming back to Kilbride National School to do dance with all the children. All the children from Junior Infants to Sixth Class will be participating in the dance classes which occur during school time. The dance lessons will be starting on Thursday, 5th May 2016 and will continue for six weeks. If you wish your child to participate in the dance classes, the cost is €10 per child. Every year the children really enjoy the dances that Kevin teaches them and you the parents really enjoy coming to see the whole school dance performance and the hard work that your children put into their dance over the six weeks.

Cross Country Trials - Thursday, 25th February 2016

The Cross Country Trials are taking place in the morning at 9:15 am in Kilbride National School. All children from First Class to Sixth Class will be taking part. There will be six races tomorrow altogether; First and Second Class girls, First and Second Class boys, Third and Fourth Class girls, Third and Fourth Class boys, Fifth and Sixth Class girls and Fifth and Sixth Class boys. Six children will qualify for the School's Cross Country Championships from each race. Each child from First Class to Sixth Class should bring the following with them tomorrow to school; a change of clothes, a change of socks and a change of footwear. We would like to wish everyone the best of luck tomorrow in the trials and all that you can do is try your best. Good Luck Everyone!

Swimming

A reminder that the last swimming lesson will take place this Friday the 6th November 2015. The 5th and 6th Class pupils will be at the swimming pool in Kells from 10:15 am to 11:00 am. The 1st to 4th Class pupils will be at the swimming pool in Kills from 11:00 am to 11:45 am.

Gaelic Football

Well Done to all the pupils in Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Class who represented our school in the Cumann na mBunscoil Football tournament this year. The children played very well and we are all very proud of them. Many thanks to all the parents who gave lifts. It is very much appreciated. Again, many thanks to Mrs. Mallee for her great work in preparing the children for matches and organising the teams.
