Gaelic Football Training

The children are really enjoying the Gaelic Football training which takes place in Kilbride National School. Coaches come from Dunderry Football Club twice a week to train the children in Kilbride National School. Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Class have Gaelic training every Monday and Junior, Senior, First and Second Class have Gaelic training every Thursday. The children are really enjoying this training as well as learning some important Gaelic football skills!

Gaelic Football

The girls in Fifth and Sixth class and the boys in Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Class have been taking part in the school's Gaelic competition. They have been playing really well and we wish them good luck in the remainder of their games. We would also like to thank Mrs. Mallee for her dedication to training the boys and girls and bringing them to all their football matches. Good Luck to both teams and Mrs Mallee in the remainder of the competition.

Swimming

Swimming lessons are continuing for the children from First Class to Sixth Class until Friday the 6th of November 2015. The cost of the swimming lessons are 30 euro in total. Most of the children will have already paid a 10 euro deposit leaving only 20 euro to pay. The children are really engaging with the swimming lessons and look forward to their lessons every week.

Guess the Score Competition

The Guess the Score Competition was a great success this year. We raised €1289 which will go towards paying for the swimming. Swimming will now cost the children €30 for their swimming lessons. Therefore, if you have already paid the deposit of €10 all you have left to pay is €20. There was no winner of the competition, therefore, as a reward for their hard work with this fundraiser the children will have a night off homework. Thank you to everyone who supported this fundraiser!

Gaelic Football

The Gaelic Football competition has started again between schools in County Meath. We wish all the girls and boys who are taking part in Kilbride National School the best of luck in this competition. We also wish Mrs. Mallee the best of luck in the competition as she works very hard with the football teams in our school! Good Luck everyone!
