Congratulations to all the children who took part on the Championships in Bellewstown on Wednesday the 26th November 2014. A special congratulations to Ross O' Connor who came third in the under 11's race. Many thanks to all the parents who attended and helped out on the day. We are delighted to inform everyone that we recieved great news yesterday. The school has been awarded the Active Flag. Many congratulations to all the children for this tremendous achievemnet and a special word of thanks to Ms. Kealey for co - ordinating the Active Flag programme. There will be a raising of the flag ceremony and that date has yet to be announced.

The Active Stations has continued for the children in Kilbride National School. The Active Flag Committee are in charge of the stations at big lunch on Fridays. The rest of the chldren in the school have the chance to go through the various stations that are on the yard during lunch time. All the children in Kilbride National School enjoy this on a Friday and they all enjoy getting outside and being active!

Athletics finished for third, fourth, fifth and sixth classes last Monday the 6th of October 2014. The children really enjoyed the athletics. We would like to thank the coaches for coming to our school to train the children in athletics.

Swimming is continuing in Kilbride National School for the children in 1st to 6th class. The children are really enjoying their swimming lessons in Kells Swimming Pool.

The children from 3rd to 6th class are taking part in athletics which started last Monday. The children are really enjoying this. Athletics will  take place on Monday the 29th of September and Monday the 6th of October 2014.

Swimming will start on Tuesday the 9th September for all the children from First to Sixth class in Kilbride National School. A deposit of €10 has to be paid on or before Tuesday.

Our soccer league this year was a great success. Last Friday, the 20th June 2014, the final of the soccer league took place between Portugal and Brazil. Both teams played wonderfully in a very dramatic final. At the end of the game it was a draw. The game went into extra time and after the extra time it was still a draw between the two teams. Finally, it went to penalties!! A special congratulations to Portugal who were victorious in the end.

Today was our final swimming lesson. The children really enjoyed the swimming lessons this year. They were all presented with their swimming certificates today after their final lesson.
