Blue Star Programme - Europe Day - Tuesday, 9th May 2023
As part of Europe Day we did a whole school Handshake for Europe and a whole school Big Wave for Europe. This handshake and wave were in recognition of the solidarity among European countries and citizens, and to celebrate the diversity of a strong and inclusive European Union. Well done to all the boys and girls today wave!
School Reopening Monday 28th August 2023
The school will reopen on Monday 28th August 2023 after the Summer Holidays.
School Tours 2023
As you are aware, the school tours have been arranged and the payment links have been sent. If your child is not attending the school tour, can you please let the class teacher know. If you wish your child to attend the school tour, you can pay via the online payment link or send in the exact money in an envelope to the class teacher.
Mick’s Race-Sunday 21st May 2023 Dunderry GAA Clubhouse
Information about Mick’s Race was sent to all families last week. This is a great day out for everyone in our school community. Many thanks to those of who have contacted the school to sponsor the race. I would encourage as many of you as possible to come and support our school on the day. The monies raised will go towards the purchase of much needed IT equipment for all the children in our school. The race will start at 12 noon from Dunderry GAA clubhouse. There will be prizes for the race winners and refreshments on the day. If anyone is available to help on the day as a race steward, could you please contact the school or any member of the Board of Management or Parent’s Association.
First Holy Communion- Saturday 6th May at 11.30
The First Holy Communion will take place on Saturday 6th May at 11.30 in Kilbride Church. This is a very special occasion for the children in second class and they are really looking forward to the day. There will be refreshments in the school for the children and their families after the First Holy Communion and we hope to see all the children and their families there.
Drumming Classes 2023
The children had a great time doing their drumming lessons with Dave. They really enjoyed drumming and are looking forward to the drumming lessons next year! Cumann na mBunscoil Hurling Competition
Our school hurling team played their first hurling match last Tuesday, 18th April 2023. The team tried very hard and played very well but it was not their day. They will play their next game today, Tuesday the 25th April 2023, against Boardsmill National School. We wish the team and Mr. Peyton the very best of luck.
Credit Union Quiz-The Final Sunday 2nd April
Well done to Mark, Roisín, Lauren and Eddie who participated in the All-Ireland Credit Union Quiz during the Easter Holidays. This great team did very well, and they had a brilliant day in the RDS. Many thanks to their parents who brought them to the RDS and supported them. We are very proud of the children and their great achievement in being the first team in our school to reach the All-Ireland final!
Our annual fundraiser Mick’s Race will take place on Sunday 21st May at Dunderry GAA hall at 12 noon.
