Fifth and Sixth Class - Miss Kealey

Primary Language Curriculum

As you are all aware we are implementing the new Primary Language Curriculum in the areas of English and Gaeilge with all the children from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. Fifth and sixth class have been working hard in all areas this year and especially in relation to the new Primary Language Curriculum. We have put huge emphasis on using the Irish language informally (Gaeilge néamhfhoirmiúl) throughout the school day in our room. We have a new 'Word of the Day' and a new 'Focal an Lae' every day to improve and widen our vocabulary in both languages. Below are some examples of the new Language curriculum at work in our room, including a 'Word Bank' and a 'Stór Focal' for any new vocabulary we meet throughout the school day.[/vc_column_text][us_gallery ids="5608,5607,5606,5605,5604" columns="6"][vc_column_text]
