Monday 4th September - Chalk Art
Senior Infants enjoyed mark-making with chalk, taking advantage of this lovely warm weather
Friday 8th September - Maths Fun
Senior Infants have been learning about sorting. In their teams, they had to beat the clock to sort out all this Lego into groups.
Monday 11th September - Animal Sorting
The girls and boys had to cut and sort lots of different animals into groups
October 2023 - interactive learning in our English lessons, using flashcards and markers to make our own sentences!
October 2023 - Wooden Spoons Art!
The children created their favourite story book characters using wooden spoons, as part of the Children's Book Festival.

November 2023 - Science Week
Senior Infants enjoyed all the activities for Science Week - in particular Science Day, when they got a chance to work with older children from other classes to complete some really fun experiments.
The Sleepy Shepherd Nativity Play - December 2023
The children really enjoyed performing in the play The Sleepy Shepherd. The singing was beautiful.. Well done girls and boys!
Santa's visit - December 2023

25th January 2024 - Grandparent's Day
Many thanks to all the parents, grandparents and godparents who came into school to help us celebrate Grandparents Day. The boys and girls worked very hard to make this a really special day for everyone.

The children in Senior Infants have been playing lots of games to help them learn their High Frequency words.
St Brigid's Day - 1st February 2024
The children had great fun making St Brigid's Day crosses to bring home to their families.
We really enjoyed Friendship and Inclusion Week in Senior Infants. The children took part in Crazy Sock Day and Crazy Hair Day to raise awareness of diversity and the importance of inclusion. All of the children took part in creating a beautiful piece of artwork with the message of 'kindness.' We also created a web of friendship. Take a look at our photos here:
We love reading here in Senior Infants. The children were delighted to get a chance to dress up as a character from one of their favourite books. We read lots of stories, sang a World Book Day song, and did a World Book Day quiz.
