Space Week

Junior Infants took part in lots of activities for Space Week.

We used lego, 2D shapes and playdoh to make our own space rockets and aliens.

We showed off our wonderful cutting skills when we made space rockets during Art.

Science Week 2025

Science Week got off to a flying start this week when our school all enjoyed the Curious Minds Science Week Show for Primary Schools.

Take a look at fifth and sixth class enjoying some wonderful experiment displays.

Materials

The children in Junior Infants and been learning about a variety of materials and we went on a hunt around our classroom to find things made of metal, wood, plastic and glass. Take a look at some of the items we found.

Living things

The children in Junior infants recently planted cress seeds, They took great care of them, ensuring they were being watered and in sunlight. Today, the boys and girls got to bring them home, everyone was delighted!!

Environmental Awareness and Care

The children in Junior Infants have been learning about the importance of taking care of the plants and animals in our environment and we discussed the many ways we can mind and look after our environment.
We also went on a Spring Hunt around our school gardens to see how many signs of Spring we could find.

Energy and Forces

Senior infants learned how force was used to make a balloon travel at speed. They attached a balloon to a straw and when they let it go it travelled along at high speed! They worked in pairs and had races!
