We are very busy in 2nd class this month. The children have continued to enjoy Drumming sessions with Dave. They have also continued classes with Joan in Athletics and started GAA skills with William. We have explored lots of Maths topics including 2D Shapes. The children enjoyed creating their own 'Shapensteins' ( Frankenstein made from shapes) for the Spooky Season. We have continued to work on our Gaeilge conversational skills and we are always enjoying lots of Gaeilge songs in the classroom, including Peann Luaidhe Buí and Killagh by Kingfisher.
We look forward to our well-deserved midterm break in 2 weeks. In the interim, we will enjoy lots of spooky activities in the build up to Halloween. We also look forward to lots of Maths activities next week for Maths Week 2026.
