Introducing our Fourth and Fifth Class for 2025/26! We can't wait for a year of hard work, good fun and friendships!

Fourth and Fifth class used our outdoor classroom to learn all about 'Mé féin' in our Irish lessons.





The boys and girls in Fourth and Fifth class are really enjoying their weekly tag rugby lessons with Josh from Leinster Rugby. They are learning new skills and participating in mini games.



Throughout September the girls and boys have been learning about Piet Mondrian and his works. They enjoyed creating their own interpretation in our art lessons.


Community Garda Gerry came to our school today for a visit. He spoke to Fourth and Fifth class all about safety, particularly keeping safe at Halloween and online safety.

Fourth and Fifth class enjoyed a trip to the Swift Centre today as part of the ‘Children’s Book Festival’. Author Neill de Búrca told the boys and girls a very enjoyable and energetic story about Fionn and the Salmon of Knowledge.




As part of Maths Week, Fourth Class took part in an online Maths quiz. They had great fun!



The boys and girls had great fun creating paper mache pumpkins and dressing up for Halloween. Look at the lovely costumes!







Fourth and Fifth Class participated in the Intel Mini Scientist Competition in November. They worked incredibly hard at reaseraching their topic, using scientific approaches and correlating their results.

Fourth and Fifth Class have been learning new basketball skills including dribbling, passing and shooting!



We have been very busy creating lovely Christmas art work. We have used clay, colours and paint and had great fun creating our masterpieces. Stay tuned for the finished products.....

The children in Fourth and Fifth Class have been using tablets to consolidate their learning across various subjects. They have been completing geography quizzes, playing maths games and learning about Ancient and Modern Greece.
We celebrated St. Brigid's Day by hearing stories about her work, learning about her life and making St. Brigid's Crosses usings rushes.







Their was great excitement when the children spotted a local hunt passing by the school last week!

















Fourth and Fifth Class visited the Battle of the Boyne site on Monday the 9th of February. They learned all about who was involved in the battle, the weapons used, the outcome of the battle and its significance. Despite the rain, great fun was had by all!
For the last number of weeks, Fourth and Fifth Class have had the pleasure of Miss Nelson teaching them for a few lessons each day. Her lessons were fun, engaging, and educational. She finished today with a lesson on the harp and a beautiful performance. We would like to thank Miss Nelson for all of her hard work and wish her the very best in the future!


We had great fun learning about Chance and Probability in Maths. We worked in groups and rotated around four different stations, completing four different maths activities. It was a fun and hands-on way to learn about probability!






As part of the Blue Star Programme, fouth and fifth class participated in 4 online quizzes pertaining to Europe. They had great fun and it was very competitve!






Fourth and Fifth Class had a visit from the Mobile Space Dome. They learned all about the planets in space and took part in a fun space quiz. It was a fantastic and exciting learning experience for everyone!
