Congratulations to the Active Committee of 2024 - 2025. We are really looking forward to plenty of activity ahead in the coming year. We have been already busy behind the scenes. The Active Leaders are working on a new slogan for this year to remind us all to stay active in Kilbride School. We have also set up our yard active bell exercises. The committee will be checking in with the class teachers regularly to make sure that they are undertaking the Active Break Challenge 2024 for the next 4 weeks. This will ensure that despite the unpredictable Irish weather, everyone will get a chance to remain active.
There is lots more to come so keep an eye on this page for updates on events and activities in Kilbride.
This challenge will be starting on the 18th November 2024 and will be running for the next 4 weeks.

2023- 2024 Active Flag Initiative
We were very excited to invite Joan from Meath Athletics back to our school this week. The children have been enjoying learning new skills with Joan all week. We were also very lucky to have Cathal Barron, a TY student, share his GAA knowledge and skills to the children in the school. There has been a fantastic atmosphere in the school with all the extra activity. Despite the mixed weather, the activities still continued.
We had our first Active School committee meeting. The children were very excited to come together. The children will be working hard to keep the school active and busy. They got the whole school to sign a contract that they will keep as active as they can!
We are very excited to start a new school year with a new Active Flag Committee. As the Active Flag Co-ordinator, I am excited to embrace another school year and keep our renewed Active Flag flying high. If you haven't already heard the news, we were awarded our 3rd Active Flag in May 2023. It can be seen flying high at the front of the school. To achieve the Active Flag, a lot of work needs to be done. This flag couldn't have been achieved without the help of the SUPER committee last year. In order to keep the flag, we must keep moving and stay active as much as ever. I am looking forward to having my new committee support me and to help the school remain active throughout the year.
This year's committee is as follows:
Rang Cairde Nua Gorm - Nicholas Paun
Rang Cairde Nua Buí - Olivia Hammond
Junior Infants - Andrei Beliankou
Senior Infants - Kayla Bradley
First Class- Eve Kelly
Second Class - Emma Kelly
Third Class - Rebecca Coleman
Fourth Class - Cian Bohan
Fifth Class - Agostino Marini
