Fifth and sixth class are busy getting back to work for the new school year but there is still plenty of time for some fun outside. This week we took part in some athletics stations outside on the yard and in the astro. Take a look at us all enjoying ourselves.

The boys and girls in sixth class attended a wonderful open day in Athboy Community School where they were treated to a taster of Home Economics, where they made pizzas, and Woodwork, where they constructed butt joints. It was a fantastic day that got us all thinking about the next stages of our education.




As part of the Primary Language Curriculum the boys and girls in fifth and sixth class created wonderful projects on our own country of Ireland. Their beautiful and very impressive work is on display in the corridor for all of our pupils and staff to enjoy.

The boys and girls in fifth and sixth class wrote some very creative newspaper reports based on our Fairy-tale of the month Little Red Riding Hood.

Science week 2025 got off to a great start this week when we watched a fantastic online Curious MInd's presentation.

The boys and girls in Mrs Mallee's fifth and sixth class also participated in the Intel Mini Scientist project. They worked individually and in groups to create an extremely wide variety of projects. Everyone in our school also had the opportunity to visit our projects as part of our in school science fair on Thursday the 13th of November.
