We are all working really hard in Preparation for the visit of the Ombudsman Niall Muldoon next week. Last week we were delighted to have the newly elected TD Aisling Dempsey visit the school to talk to us all about our voice and children's rights. We have also been very busy doing activities and creating art work in preparation for Niall`s visit.
The Gingerbread man was our Fairy-tale this month. Everyone had great fun creating their own Gingerbread man. Well done Everyone.

We have been very busy preparing for Christmas recently. The classroom looks fantastic and everyone is having great fun. We are very lucky to have Bobby the Elf in our classroom. He is doing an excellent job keeping an eye on us all as we get closer to our Christmas holidays!

As part of the childrens book festival this year 3rd class created a picture board based on a class favourite Diary of Wimpy Kid. It turned out great. Well done everyone!
This month we worked on procedural writing as our writing genre and the children wrote all about How to Play snakes and ladders
3rd class have been busy writing all about where they live and the different rooms in their house this week.
The class really enjoyed Maths week this year. The class were busy solving riddles and doing maths challenges throughout the week. We did our whole school Maths trail and finally on Friday everyone brought in board games. Well done everyone!
