Having lots of fun being creative

Welcome to Kilbride National School

Greetings from the Principal

It is a great honour to welcome everyone to the website of Kilbride National School. A website which captures the wonderful spirit of our school. As evident from our website, our school has and always will be about our children. It is very important to us all, that our website reflects this. Our children had a huge involvement in the creation of this website and were excited to see their fantastic art work displayed throughout.

As you can see, Kilbride National School is a creative and forward thinking school which draws on the talents and skills of our school community to provide the best possible holistic education for our children. Everyday, we strive to ensure that the well-being of each and every child is paramount. The happiness of each and every child is our main focus. We have a saying in our school, ‘ Everyone has a right to come to school happy and go home happy!’ Our school is one of respect where all of our children are treated fairly and are taught the importance of treating each other with the same fairness and respect.

We are a school of equals where connections are made as soon as our children start school. One of our children commented that what they loved about our school was that everyone was treated fairly and everyone received the same encouragement. We hope that our children hold these values for the rest of their lives once they leave our school.

We have a wonderful staff in our school who enjoy working with our children and parents. It is an honour to pay tribute to their dedication and hard work. Their commitment to our school is to be commended. It is wonderful to walk the corridors in our school and hear laughter in the classrooms.

We are very fortunate to have an extremely supportive parent body and their representative Parent Association. Our Board of Management works tirelessly on behalf of our school and provides great support to our school community.

I would to thank everyone who has contributed to the creation of this new and exciting website. I truly hope that it captures the heart and soul of our great school.

Mrs Murphy
