On Friday the 9th May 2014, the children along with Miriam McHale worked really hard planting all our seeds for the Incredible Edibles Project. The children from Junior Infants right up to Sixth class were out in the school garden planting window boxes, weeding the garden, picking the ripened rhubarb, replanting flowers into bigger pots to make them stronger, planting strawberries, potatoes, carrots, turnips and lettuce and finally watering everything that was planted. A rota will be drawn up in the school to ensure that all these plants get watered everyday and that they are looked after. The children will monitor the growth of these plants and seeds over the next few months as part of the Incredible Edibles Programme. We would like to say a big thank you to Miriam who was in school all day Friday helping the children with all the above activities.
