Meath Fire Service Visit - Friday 2nd May 2014

Paddy Rispin from Trim Fire Service came today to talk to the children of 3rd and 4th class about fire safety. The talk he gave to the children today was excellent. The children learned all about fire hazards in the home, what they should plug out at night, how to treat an oil pan should it go on fire, hair straightner safety, fire alarms and how to ring the fire emergencies services. The children received a fire pack from Paddy. There is lots of information in the pack on fire safety and also a survey for the children to complete in relation to their house which they have to get signed at home and return to the school. We would like to thank Paddy for coming to talk to us today and answering all of our questions.
