Mr. Dale Treadwell, Irish Heritage Council

The children really enjoyed both visits made to the school by Mr. Dale Treadwell. He returned to the school on Friday 28th February and worked with the children outside in the school garden. This visit from Dale was a huge success. All the children were introduced to Scrappy the Hedgehog and the Junior and Senior Infant pupils made him a hotel. First and Second Class constructed bird feeders, nesting boxes and bat boxes. Third and Fourth Class made a frog pond and planted some Buddleia trees to help attract butterflies to our garden. Fifth and Sixth Class planted vegetables, a wild flower meadow and created a willow dome. It was a really fun, educational and enjoyable day.
